Description :
Olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.1% is a prescription eye drop for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.
Pharmacology :
Olopatadine is a relatively selective histamine H1-receptor antagonist and inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells. It shares many of the pharmacologic effects of mast cell stabilisers.
Indications :
It is used to treat itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Dosage :
Odopat is dosed twice per day
Contraindications :
Contraindicated in persons who have shown hypersensitivity to any of the components of the preparation.
How to use :
To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops. Wait at least 10 minutes after using Olopine before inserting contact lenses.
Precautions : General : For topical use only. Use with caution in the presence of hypertension, cardiovascular abnormalities, hyperglycemia, hyperthyroidism, infection or injury. Information for Patients : Patients should be advised to consult a physician if relief is not obtained within 72 hours of the therapy; if irritation, blurring or redness persists or increases. Pregnancy: I-Kul Plus solution should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed. Nursing Mothers: Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when this preparation is administered to a nursing woman. Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
Storage Instructions :
Store in cool dark place. Use this solution within one month after opening the container.
